This 6050m layout has a 9 holes designed by Roquemore who has also upgraded and integrated Cotton's original yellow 9 hole loop that includes the scenic par 3 - the 16th - perched on high cliffs with the beach below. Strategically located water hazards and bunkers present some testing approach shots to the immaculate greens on a course with a wide variety of interesting holes.

Ocean Course - Vale do Lobo
18 holes - Par 71

With several holes fronting the Atlantic and others meandering through typical Algarve pinewoods, the Ocean, which dates back to 1968, affords a different challenge to its sister course.

It features fewer water hazards but several narrow pine lined fairways demand attention and accuracy. The view westward along the coast from the elevated tee of the attractive par 5 - tenth is truly breathtaking! Another great Par 5 is the testing final hole, all uphill to a sloping green.

Quinta da Cima

A excellent 36 – hole complex, Quinta da Cima provides a longer course than it’s neighbour, Quinta da Ria. The lush, large greens are well protected and the course is seen to provide a test for golfers of varying levels thank to the fairway bunkers and the meandering stream. Situated in the attractive countryside amongst carob trees and almond trees.

Quinta da Ria
This is a relatively new course although it has already established itself as one of the best courses on The Algarve. Quinta Da Ria is set amongst beautiful scenery in the Natural Reserve of the Ria Formosa. This course eases you in gradually with a pleasant mix of holes that aren’t too demanding through the front nine, however, just around the corner you will discover an unexpected change as the fairways become tighter and bunkers and water hazards appear from all angles.

Benamor
Benamor opened in April 2000 and is quickly gaining an excellent reputation amongst the UK golfers. Situated midway between Faro and the Spanish border near Tavira this course offers stunning mountain and sea views. Although the course is not long it by no means offers an easy game as the fairways are fairly narrow and run between the olive groves. A good addition to the area, well worth a visit.

Pinheiros Altos
Located in the famous Quinta do Lago estate, this course is divided into two very different 9 holes with the first nine being played around umbrella pine trees. On the back nine you will encounter well placed water hazards and sand pits that create a wonderful golfing experience. The attractive setting of Pinheiros Altos has been known to divert your attention away from the firm challenges at hand and the luxurious clubhouse adds an excellent finishing touch to this golf complex.

Salgados
Salgados is situated on the flat lands located by the sandy beach of Praia de Gale. Its central location approximately 4 miles east of Albufeira ensures that there is always a demand for tee times! The course is very open to the elements with many water hazards and few trees. A good degree of accuracy is required to play Salgados if you wish to avoid the necessity of replenishing your golf balls!

Alto Club
Opened in 1991 the Alto meanders through typical Algarve countryside and makes use of the natural landscape to offer winding fairways and gentle undulating greens. From the first 9 holes golfers enjoy the excellent view of Lagos Bay while the back 9 holes come further inland and run past mountain slopes. At 604 metres the 16th hole is said to be the longest hole in Europe!

Parque de Floresta
This course underwent major development in 1998 and is the most western of The Algarve’s courses. Buggies are recommended as the fairways roll up and down through the hills past spectacular views. A true test while equally enjoyable to play, as each hole is very different from the next.

Palmares
Palmares is the oldest course on The Algarve and offers exceptional views across the bay of Lagos. The course is situated in an excellent seaside location with a mixture of links and groves of almond and fig trees. A wonderful mixture of coastal and inland golf the Palmares is one of The Algarve’s most beloved and popular courses.

Boavista
Having opened at the beginning of 2002 the Boavista in an attractive golf course situated to the far west of The Algarve. The undulating fairways are tree lined and meander between water hazards and well positioned bunkers. Not a course for beginners, the 6th hole is considered as one of the hardest par-3s’ on The Algarve.

Morgado
Opened in 2003 Morgado is the newest golf course on The Algarve. Located near Portimao in a valley in front of the Monchique Mountains Morgado is a tranquil place to play a round of golf. The course is suitable for all standards of golfers as it offers well sized fairways and greens protected by large bunkers. The course provides excellent practice facilities and the complex has and lovely modern clubhouse which provides views over the course.
