Dear Fairway Golf Holidays
With regards to the recent
golfing trip myself and 6 friends had to Belek Turkey, I
would like to add the following.
From the initial contact with Fairway Golf Holidays
through to the departure date we were always given
clear, accurate and timely information. None more so
than when our initial trip had to be delayed due to the
air travel disruption caused by volcanic ash clouds.
This disruption only enhanced your reputation as your
ability to reschedule our trip in such short notice was
well received by all in the party. I was personally
being thanked for my organisational skills!!
We were initially recommended the Cornelia Diamond but
unfortunately due to the rescheduling of the trip we had
to stay at the sister complex, Cornelia Deluxe. However,
if this was the lesser of the 2 hotels then all of the
travelling party were in full agreement that we landed
lucky. From the Champagne (or sparkling wine to most)
reception on arrival to the late check out on
departure. The A La Carte restaurants were superb with
special attention given to one member of the party that
had a birthday. Even the buffet restaurant catered for
everyone's tastes so no one went hungry. Daytime and
midnight meals were also a welcome addition. The drinks
served in the All Inclusive package were branded and
generous in size. The warm welcome of the waiting staff
and evening entertainment was excellent
We all went to Turkey knowing that we would average
around 5 hours a round of golf so no one was losing
patience when this was the case. The 3 courses we tried,
Faldo, National & Dunes were all tough but thoroughly
enjoyable all the same. A couple of other notes:
I had left a digital camera at the pool one day only for
it to be handed into reception same day. Shame on me for
doubting it would be any different.
I unfortunately picked up a bad eye infection and the
hotel was quick to arrange a nurse, who in turn got a
doctor, who in turn asked that I go to hospital to see
an eye specialist. The whole procedure was impeccable,
even down to the taxi costs being added to my medical
bill for submission to my insurance company. 24 hours
later my vision had improved enough to golf again.
Our flight had a 13 hour delay coming home. Within 1
hour of the initial departure time, Thomas Cook had
organised for 250 people to be taken to a 5 star hotel
in Antalya where we were all fed, watered, accommodated
and collected again at 3.15 am for the delayed flight at
5.30.
We got back to Glasgow in time for 4 of the 6 to travel
to Hampden to watch Dundee United lift the Scottish Cup
for the 2nd time in their history. What a great end to a
wonderful week.
I can confirm that not only myself but the others that
travelled from the UK would have absolutely no
hesitation in recommending Fairway Golf Holidays. It was
a recommendation that put me in touch with yourselves in
the first place and I can see why.
